Patek Philippe Site

With new, representative outdoor spaces for the watch producer Patek Philippe, we have significantly improved the quality of life for the people who work there. A “Salon Vert” consisting of shade-giving trees supplements a sunny public square with a circular water element.

The Château Blanc is the representative address of the Patek Philippe company in Plan-les-Ouates (Canton of Geneva) and has already served as a production site for the luxury watch brand for a long time. High-quality outdoor spaces were supposed to be created as part of the integration of a new building complex. Our central idea consists of dealing with the plot of land as an interconnected ensemble, while creating multifaceted spaces for encounters and life in the open air for employees of the company.

As a new green center, the “Salon Vert” forms the centerpiece of the company premises and consists of an esplanade with various irregularly planted trees, in whose shade comfortable chairs invite spending time. We have created a spatial connection between the Château Blanc and the newly erected building complex with a new public plaza at the conclusion of the “Salon Vert.” In the center of the plaza, a circular water element, like a watch, provides a communicative and simultaneously identity-forming accent. In contrast to the cool and shady “Salon Vert,” the plaza is generously opened up to the sky and sun. Based on the simple and robust elements of trees, water, and surfacing, we create an open space that takes on representative and functional tasks, but also contributes decisively to the quality of life of the people who work there.
